Attraction – Pure Kino™

Honestly, this concept was somehow new to me and I had to read this section many times. And I still did not get it very well. I’ve been going out twice a week and practicing Pure Kino™, still with weak results. But time and practice will fix this.

Pure Kino: Always touch everybody being friendly and dominant
To understand the underlying ideas of Pure Kino, the direction box (the blue box where Mehow plays movie director telling how to play your role) is fundamental. I have a friend who used to say “don’t touch the woman as if you are a baker” – he is totally right. There is a lot that shall happen when you touch the women, otherwise you can become creepy or just lacking sensuality.

The perspective that Mehow presents is that you must be super fun, bringing a lot of value to the set with very high energy. I seem to start to understand this concept now and will probably be editing this post as my practice of the Mehow Model gets better.

You know when you are afraid of approaching because your mind keeps saying things like “oh, they are in the middle of some conversation – probably a chick talk about work or some guy… well… I do not want to go there and interrupt… that may be rude and I will not be welcome… better wait a little”. Have you also had this type of though or was it just me?

If you can relate to what I have just described, then you have to read this direction box from Mehow fifty thousand times until you fully incorporate it. You are the value giver. You are fun! They will love to be cut by you. As Mehow explains, you are dominating in a friendly and fun way. That’s it. Go do it!

What is Pure Kino™?

I did not fully grasp in the first read what was the difference of Pure Kino™ and other types of kino. Besides from the normal touches on everybody in the group that are part of kino, Mehow explains that it is necessary to have a second element: subcommunicating that you live in your own reality, which is a very wild and fun one!

Given this introduction, the basic formula is provided for the standard interaction:

address the whole group with some time constraint (e.g. “you guys seem interesting and I came here to know you… for a second”)

be light and fun teasing the target girl (similar to Mystery’s ‘negs’ but with less chances of being misinterpreted)

do one past/future adventures projection

do one or two PureKino™ routines

isolate the girl from the group (here you may need the help of a friend or just explicitly tell the group you will be going with the girl over there and checking if everyone is cool with that)

move to the comfort phase

Stories

Mehow is a results-oriented pick up artist. He does agree that storytelling in the classic Mystery Method can be used for attraction, through DHVs – Demonstrations of Higher Value, which shall be embedded in the story (and not the central piece of the story) to subcommunicate the attractive qualities. But he knows that the nightlife has way too many distracters. Unless you make a very powerful first impression with your looks or something really unconventional, she can easily divert her attention to something else.

Bad storytelling: Once upon a time there were three little pigs, so I ate them. End of story. Now Go to sleep.
Because of that, to have consistent results, Mehow is very keen on knowing when NOT to use the stories. To deal with the attention deficit disorder prevailing in nightclubs, he recommends exaggerating in the emotions and drama levels. In any case, he understands that stories are essential in the comfort phase.

Get the Girl! is not a material to be used to improve skills in storytelling. The section on stories is relatively short to additional material is necessary in case you are not a good storyteller. Mehow keeps it simple by providing three points of good stories:

do not use an attractive quality as the main theme

instead, the attractive qualities shall be discretely added in the story

lots of different strong emotions such as love, hatred, humor, suspense

Future and Past Projections

Future and Past Adventures
These are adventures that could have already happened or will happen in the future with your girl. However, doing a serious projection like “I’ll take you for dinner in this fancy restaurant” are try hard and convey too much interest in the wrong phase. To deal with these pitfalls, Mehow says that the future projections (and past) shall be exaggerated, fantastic and unreal. The “Intergalactic Space Princess” projection is a clear example of what he means by that.

Note that the length of the routine shall be adequate to the level of attention and distractions that you will have. A loud club with lots of acquaintances appearing from time to time is not a place for a long story as it is likely to be interrupted. A short routine should be used in such cases, such as the “Paris Hilton Chihuahua Carrier”

Pure Kino™

This is the patent-pending technology of Mehow. It’s worth being explored separately in a new post.
